BIOTEAM Partners announce the finalization of the Project

group Brussels

The BIOTEAM Partners announce that on the 30th of March 2016 all the activities were finalized, but the BIOTEAM website will be fully functional to access data and content until 30 March 2018!

It has been an amazing experience, 36 months of mutual learning, international engagement and discovery.

Indeed our best resource was the wide network of stakeholders, institutional and market actors that provided valuable insights and collaboration. We are very thankful!

After BIOTEAM we will keep on working on sustainable biomass pathways, with a greater awareness and a much larger network.

BIOTEAM side-event at COP21, Paris

On 7 December 2015, BIOTEAM participated to the side-event at COP21, the Paris climate conference, in the Netherlands Climate Pavillion.

Eise Spijker delivered the speech "Green growth and bioenergy – the risks of NOT integrating climate strategies with other development objectives".

How does bioenergy contribute to other (more local) environmental, economic and/or social objectives? Do those bioenergy options with the highest net GHG reduction performance also deliver desired employment benefits?

BIOTEAM results presented at Nanjing University

On 2 December 2015, Lars Lauven, Assistant Professor at the University of Göttingen, presented BIOTEAM project's results during the seminar "Optimization in renewable energy planning" held at School of the Environment in Nanjing University.
